Home Minister Amit Shah assured the wrestlers that the law remains same for everyone and he reportedly told the wrestlers,

“Let the law take its own course.”

These renowned athletes have been leading a protest at Jantar Mantar in Delhi since April, accusing the sidelined president of the WFI, Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh, of sexual harassment against several wrestlers, including a minor.

The protesting wrestlers faced unfortunate incidents. The Delhi Police manhandled and detained the wrestlers, by demolishing their protest site arrangements. Initially planning to discard their hard-earned medals in the holy river Ganga at Haridwar, the wrestlers decided to entrust their medals to farmers’ leaders based on public requests. The wrestlers are now deliberating on the next course of action to resume their protest.
