India secured a commanding victory over England in Lucknow, defeating the defending champions by a margin of 100 runs. The match unfolded favorably for the Indian team, but there was a notable moment when skipper Rohit Sharma found it challenging to conceal his emotions regarding spinner Kuldeep Yadav.

This incident occurred during the 22nd over when Kuldeep Yadav refrained from making a DRS (Decision Review System) call after delivering a ball that beat Liam Livingstone. Subsequently, upon reviewing the footage, it was evident that the ball was hitting the leg stumps. Nevertheless, this oversight did not prove costly for India, as Yadav proceeded to dismiss the English all-rounder in the 30th over, causing a setback to England’s batting lineup.

In the 29th match of the ODI World Cup 2023, England won the toss and chose to field first. India attempted to set a substantial total, but most of their batsmen struggled to perform. Captain Rohit Sharma took the lead and played a robust innings of 87 runs, providing India with a foundation to surpass the 200-run mark. India set a target of 230 runs for England, who failed to chase it down and were dismissed for just 129 runs.

Liam Livingstone scored the highest individual total from the England side with 27 runs, while the Indian bowlers wreaked havoc, ensuring that the team remained undefeated in the prestigious ICC tournament. Jasprit Bumrah provided India with the initial breakthroughs, and Mohammed Shami continued his excellent form from the New Zealand game, securing four wickets.
