Kohli was unable to perform up to par and was dismissed for merely four runs off nine deliveries, in which he struck one boundary. Despite the disappointing performance, Kohli seemed to be in positive spirits during the first innings, where Mohammed Shami and Mohammed Siraj took three-wicket respectively, and Ravindra Jadeja had two dismissals.
Virat Kohli entertained the Mumbai crowd during this first ODI, with the popular ‘Naatu Naatu’ hook step. The ‘Naatu Naatu’ song is in the famous Telugu-language action film RRR which was won many awards since its release. The ‘Naatu Naatu’ song also won the Academy Award (Oscar) for Best Original Song at the 95th Academy Awards.
The video clip of Virat Kohli performing the ‘Naatu Naatu‘ hook step was also shared by the RRR team’s Twitter handle. However, the clip has now been disabled due to copyright issues.
