The association in Kerala named, ‘All Kerala Dhoni Fans Association’, put up a giant 50-feet cutout of MS Dhoni outside the Greenfield Stadium to pay tribute to Dhoni, ahead of the third ODI of India against Sri Lanka on Sunday.

The fans put up the cutout of MSD outside the Greenfield Stadium in Trivandrum, the venue of India’s third ODI. The cutout mentioned the name of the association and a quote below reading,
“Will be here forever to inspire all.”

Kerala fans have shown similar craze during the FIFA World Cup. Ahead of FIFA World Cup, cutouts of Lionel Messi, Neymar, and Cristiano Ronaldo were put on the banks of the Kurungattu Kadavu river near Pullavoor village in Kerala’s Kozhikode district. The official international body governing football, FIFA, had shared the photograph of the cutouts in the Pullavoor river and tweeted,

Meanwhile, Team India registered a massive 317-run victory against Sri Lanka in the third ODI on Sunday. Kohli and Shubman Gill’s centuries played a key role. Virat Kohli won the ‘Player of the Match’ and ‘Player of the Series’ titles for his unbeaten 166-run knock in 110 deliveries.
