The fans across the world remain shrouded in the mystery of MS Dhoni‘s retirement. The former Indian captain is yet to step back on grass since India’s exit from the 2019 World Cup in England and Wales. Earlier last week, Ravi Shastri gave a cryptic response by asking fans to “wait until IPL” when asked about the buzz around MS Dhoni’s return. And while the players have been tight-lipped on the topic, Yuzvendra Chahal got slightly emotional on ‘Chahal TV’ while speaking about Dhoni with the Indian team on their way to Hamilton from Auckland.
The leg-spinner’s popular show has become a staple for insights regarding the Indian team with a tinge of humour.
The ‘Chahal TV’, on Monday, saw the 29-year-old have a light-hearted chat with Indian pacer Jasprit Bumrah. The leg-spinner could then be seen shifting the focus to Rishabh Pant and Mohammed Shami followed by opener KL Rahul and then Kuldeep Yadav.
But towards the end of the video, Chahal can be seen sitting next to a vacant seat at the back of the bus.
“There is one person who has never come on Chahal TV. He wanted to come, he was desperate but I said ‘no bhaiya, not right now,” he said with a glaring smile.
However, right after that, Chahal gets slightly emotional and reveals that the seat once belonged to MS Dhoni and that it is still reserved for him.
“This seat is where the legend Mahi bhai used to sit. No one else sits here still and we miss him a lot,” he signed off.
