Virat Kohli hit the nets for Royal Challengers Bangalore days before their tournament opener against defending champions Chennai Super Kings on March 23. RCB have never won the IPL despite Virat Kohli’s staggering record. With 4948 runs in 163 matches, Kohli is the second highest run-scorer in IPL history behind Suresh Raina.

Virat Kohli has been at the forefront of Royal Challengers Bangalore’s IPL campaigns for 11 seasons now and has played in three finals, finishing on the wrong side of the result in each of those summit clashes.

The RCB captain on Monday shared photos of him hitting the ground running with his franchise on Twitter, announcing the start of another campaign.
