Born on November 5, 1988, the Delhi-based batsman climbed the ascent of his career on the back of consistency and a never-ending thirst for runs. Having made his international debut against Sri Lanka in 2008, a 19-year-old Kohli was already a revered figure in the line-up, having led the U-19 squad to the World Cup title. And that, in itself, was a big thing, with the famed Indian batting line-up already stacked up with the likes of Sachin Tendulkar, Sehwag, Dravid and Yuvraj Singh.
Eleven years after donning the Indian jersey for the first time, King Kohli, as he is popularly known, has broken every possible record, surpassing several batting legends on his way.
