The Gujarat Giants displayed a well-rounded performance both in offense and defense, securing a 41-30 victory against the Rajasthan Warriors during their inaugural match of Ultimate Kho Kho Season 2 at the Jawaharlal Nehru Indoor Stadium. P. Narasayya was instrumental in the Giants’ triumph, contributing eight points, while Sanket Kadam and Suyash Gargate each earned six points in the game.

Shubham Thorat, Abhinandan Patil, and Akshay Bhangare’s exceptional defensive prowess persisted for more than 6.53 minutes, earning crucial dream run bonus points for their triumphant team.

Gujarat Giants exhibited early dominance by securing a dream run in the initial round, restricting the Rajasthan Warriors to just 14 points. Their proactive strategy persisted during the chase phase, resulting in an accumulation of 22 points and establishing a significant lead in the opening inning.

In the second inning, Rajasthan Warriors initiated with aggressive play, breaching Gujarat’s defense within a rapid 1.30 minutes. However, the Gujarat Giants swiftly gained two dream run bonus points, completely altering the course of the match. Although Rajasthan managed to secure 16 points in the third turn, Gujarat matched this with 16 points in the fourth, solidifying their win.

Moving forward, the Gujarat Giants are scheduled to face the Mumbai Khiladis on Tuesday, while the defending champions, Odisha Juggernauts, will take on the Chennai Quick Guns in their second match of Ultimate Kho Kho Season 2.
