What can happen in a game of cricket? The team to score the most runs wins the contest, right? But what happens when they don’t? And what when even the ‘tie-breakers’ (the Super Overs) end in a tie? And, more importantly, what when this happens on the greatest stage of the game – the ICC World Cup? Simple – Crazy Scenes!
Hosts England lifted their maiden World Cup trophy by what may well be the tiniest margin in the game – on the basis of most fours scored. We won’t speak much about the epic finale since words won’t do justice to yesterday’s craziness.
Here is how the Twitter reacted after the World Cup Finals. While some consoled New Zealand, and Kane Williamson in particular, for their determined play and resilience, others blamed ICC’s protracted rules.
Whatever be the case, one thing is sure: We are lucky to have witnessed one of the most intense, tightest, and entertaining cricket finals ever played.

Difficult to digest this more boundary rule. Something like sudden death- continuous super overs till a result is a better solution. Understand, wanting a definite winner but sharing a trophy is better than deciding on more boundaries. Very tough on New Zealand. #EngVsNZ

After one month 15 days and 48 matches.
New Zealand?? lose the match by zero runs…. and England ?? won the #CWC19 on boundary count.
