In this crucial match of the 2023 World Cup, Mohammed Shami made a remarkable debut, showcasing his bowling skills by taking a five-wicket haul. Shami proved to be a formidable force throughout the game. Daryl Mitchell, on the other hand, displayed an exceptional performance by scoring a century, amassing 130 runs for New Zealand.

As a response, India consistently lost wickets at frequent intervals, with most batsmen falling shortly after initiating their innings.
