Team India Not Provided ‘Basic Necessities’: Hardik Pandya Slams West Indies Cricket Board

After dominating the ODI series against the West Indies, stand-in captain Hardik Pandya remarked that he hoped for better accommodations the next time the Men in Blue tour. After India won the ODI series 2-1 on Wednesday, Hardik Pandya criticized West Indies Cricket Board for the way the trip is being conducted.

Following a surprising setback in the second ODI, India responded with a great comeback to overcome the Caribbeans by 200 runs.

After praising his side for their outstanding showing in the tournament decider, Hardik Pandya expressed hope that West Indies Cricket will learn from their mistakes and ensure that basic requirements are supplied to visiting squads in future seasons.

In the post-match discussion Pandya addressed,

“This was one of the nicest grounds we have played on. Things can be better when we come to West Indies next time. Things like travel… hopefully, the West Indies cricket board can take note and ensure that there are no hiccups. We don’t ask for luxury but we need some basic necessities taken care of.”

Pandya’s remarks came when news surfaced that the Indian squad had been kept at the terminal for four hours owing to delayed flights.
