Asian Games gold medallist pair of Divij Sharan and Rohan Bopanna were named as the top seed in the men’s doubles event of the Tata Open Maharashtra 2018-19. The ATP 250 tournament, India’s only ATP Tour stop, will be played in Pune from December 31.

Divij Sharan, who briefly became India’s number one doubles player, and veteran Bopanna recently joined forces, keeping in mind the 2020 Tokyo Olympics.

India’s Rohan Bopanna and Divij Sharan had won the gold medal in the men’s doubles tennis event at the 18th Asian Games 2018 in the twin cities of Jakarta and Palembang against Kazakhstan’s men’s doubles pair.
