Indian cricketer Suryakumar Yadav recently went incognito as a cameraman on Marine Drive in Mumbai in anticipation of his team’s 2023 World Cup match against Sri Lanka at the Wankhede Stadium on Wednesday. A video posted on X showed Suryakumar posing as a video journalist on Marine Drive.
The middle-order batsman was dressed in a full shirt and a mask and conducted street interviews outside the team hotel, with teammate Ravindra Jadeja having persuaded him that he would remain unrecognized. Interestingly, people walking near Nariman Point failed to identify Suryakumar until he revealed his true identity by removing his mask at the last moment.

Suryakumar Yadav remained on the sidelines for India’s initial four matches in the ODI World Cup before finally making his tournament debut against New Zealand. Nevertheless, the right-handed batsman was dismissed for a mere two runs following a communication mishap with Virat Kohli. He proceeded to deliver a pivotal 49-run performance against England, enabling India to surpass the 200-run milestone, resulting in the hosts securing a 100-run victory in the match.
