The Indian Football team has seen rapid growth in support on the basis of some strong performances at the international stage. This increasing support can be attributed to few reasons such as India breaking into the top 100 in FIFA rankings, hosting major international tournaments like the FIFA U-17 World Cup India 2017 and Hero Intercontinental Cup and other international games.
