Srikar did not have a very great beginning to his List-A career, managing to score only one run on his debut against Tamil Nadu. He opened for Andhra Pradesh in that match.
He started his first-class career by scoring a quick and aggressive 37 in the second innings of his debut match.
Bharat has not proved himself a very great batsman when it comes to domestic T20 and has a very low strike rate. However, he is often kept in his domestic team due to his incredible wicket-keeping skills.
A lot of times the numbers are not able to justify a player’s true talent. This seems to be the case with Srikar Bharat too. While his T20 strike rate and average may be very low, he can play explosive impactful innings in a game. His 62 runs off only 34 balls against Puducherry at Wankhede is a brilliant example of this trait.
Bharat had improved his first-class record by a big margin, after scoring 758 runs in the 2014-15 Ranji Season. He played with an average of 54 that season. Srikar Bharat was named for India blue squad in the 2018-19 Duleep trophy.
Srikar Bharat IPL

Srikar Bharat received his first Indian Premier League (IPL) chance in 2015 when he was bought by the Delhi Daredevils in the 2015 auction for Rs.10 lakhs.
He didn’t get to play any game that season. Later, he was bought by the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) in the 2021 Auction. He became famous for a last-ball six victory against Delhi Capitals, this season. He ended up scoring 78 off 52 balls leading his team to victory in that match.
International Career
He was selected in the team which was supposed to play Bangladesh in the second test as a substitute for Wriddhiman Saha in 2019 November.
Again, a few months later he was added to the ODI squad for the series against Australia as Rishabh Pant‘s replacement after the latter suffered from a concussion. Bharat was also named as a standby player for a Test series against England in 2021.
During the first test of the New Zealand tour of India, he got to be a substitute wicketkeeper after Wriddhiman Saha‘s injury. He managed to do a fine job taking two catches and taking part in a stumping.
