Inaugurating his international journey in 2015, Srihari Nataraj showcased his talent at the Asian Age Group Swimming Championships. Notably, he secured the 8th position in the 200m Medley and demonstrated remarkable prowess by clinching the 6th spot in both the 100m and 200m Backstroke events.

During 2017, Srihari Nataraj experienced his initial taste of national triumph by securing a Gold medal in the 100m Backstroke event with an impressive timing of 57.33 seconds at the National Junior Aquatic Championships. The subsequent year proved to be a milestone as he not only claimed Gold medals in various events but also set national records. Specifically, he set records in the 100m Backstroke, 50m Backstroke, 200m Backstroke, and 200m Freestyle, while clinching the top position in each event at the National Junior Aquatic Championships held in Pune.

Representing India at various international events, Srihari Nataraj has consistently showcased his prowess in backstroke. He participated in the 2019 World Aquatics Championships held in Gwangju, South Korea, where he exhibited his skills and determination at the international level.

Notably, Srihari achieved a significant milestone by qualifying for the Tokyo Summer Olympics, with the FINA approving his ‘A’ standard qualification time in the men’s 100m backstroke time trial at the Sette Colli Trophy in Rome.
