The most updated Sports Calendar 2020…
The world will usher into a new decade as the 2019 dawns. The decade’s last year was a busy affair for India’s sports fraternity, with plenty of medals and trophies won and lost. The Indian cricket team failed to make it past the semi-finals of the ICC World Cup. Shuttler PV Sindhu was third time lucky as she finally won the coveted BWF World Championships after failing earlier twice. Deepak Punia won a silver at the World Wrestling Championships as India’s shooting contingent ended at the top of the ISSF World Shooting Championships with 21 gold medals.
While 2019 was eventful, 2020 promises to be a blockbuster year with plenty of sports action on offer. The decade’s first year will start with the U-19 Cricket World Cup (commencing on 17th January) and end with Badminton World Tour Finals in China. The highlight of 2020, though, will undoubtedly be the 2020 Tokyo Summer Olympics. The highly anticipated World T20 will be held in 2020 as well.
