Sourav Ganguly gives Opinion on BCCI-CAB clash over World Cup Tickets

Sourav Ganguly responds to BCCI’s annoyance with the cost disclosure of tickets for the World Cup at Eden Gardens. Sourav Ganguly, a former Indian captain, and BCCI President, paid a visit to Eden Garden on Monday and said in response to the query on the BCCI-CAB clash,

“This is totally the CAB’s jurisdiction. They’ll deal with it.”

The Indian board is upset with CAB for disclosing ticket prices in advance because BCCI and the ICC have not yet released World Cup 2023 tickets.

The CAB’s revelation of the costs for the ICC World Cup 2023 matches at Eden Gardens has angered the BCCI. According to the reports, the national cricket governing body is upset with the CAB for releasing the ticket prices without first seeking their approval.

From October 5 to November 19, Kolkata will be the host for all World Cup games.  Regardless of whether the prices of tickets for the World Cup games alter or stay the same. The CAB is optimistic that the issues will be resolved as soon as possible.

The status of the World Cup tickets has not changed, nevertheless. While the release of the tickets was anticipated for the week of July 1. The distribution mechanism is still being worked on by BCCI and ICC.

The ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup 2023 will be held in India in October and November of this year. The World Cup will kick off on October 5 at the Narendra Modi Ground in Ahmedabad. On October 5, India and Pakistan will play at the same location. On October 5, Rohit Sharma and company will face Australia in Chennai to open the competition.
