Smriti Mandhana has become the No.1-ranked batter in the MRF Tyres ICC Rankings for Women after scoring her fourth ODI century and an unbeaten 90 in the three-match series in New Zealand. She joins men’s team skipper Virat Kohli at the top of the standings.
Mandhana has moved up three spots in the rankings to reach the top position. Australia’s Ellyse Perry and Meg Lanning are at No.2 and 3 respectively. New Zealand captain Amy Satterthwaite who flew up 10 places to No.4.
Indian captain Mithali Raj moved down a spot. She is on number five.

It is a huge recognition for Mandhana, who has been in an outstanding form in the one-day format. In the 15 ODIs she has played since the beginning of 2018, she has scored two centuries and eight half-centuries.

Deepti, Poonam and Ekta also attained good rankings
Among there was good news for India’s spin trio of Deepti Sharma, Poonam Yadav and Ekta Bisht. Both Yadav and Sharma have jumped five places each and are now at No.8 and 9 respectively.
Yadav took six wickets in the series while Sharma claimed four. Ekta Bisht also jumped up nine places in the rankings. She is at No.13 after picking up five wickets in the three matches ODI series against New Zealand.
Veteran pacer Jhulan Goswami is the highest ranked Indian bowler. She sits at number 4. Her
3/23 in the second ODI helped India win the series. Pakistan’s Sana Mir, Australia’s Megan Schutt and South Africa’s Marizanne Kapp are above her.
Deepti Sharma is also fourth in the all-rounders’ standings and is the only Indian in the top-10 all-rounders.
