Chirag Shetty and Satwiksairaj Rankireddy have no fear of the Chinese, the Koreans, or the Japanese. Satwik-Chirag, who had been undefeated for ten straight games, won the Korea Open 2023 championship by defeating Indonesian duo Fajar Alfian and Muhammad Rian Ardianto in a thrilling 3-game men’s doubles final 17-21, 21-13, 21-14 on Sunday.

Back-to-back victories in a single month will now increase both their rating and confidence. However, Chirag says there is no room for complacency and greater things must be accomplished.

“We do not fear anybody; they might be thinking, ‘Oh, we are playing Satwik-Chirag”.

The world No. 3 Indians outlasted two-time world championship bronze medalists Alfian and Ardianto in an intense summit match in the Super 500 badminton. Satwik and Chirag had incredible battling energy against world no. 1 in the Korea Open men’s doubles finals, their second consecutive BWF World Tour final in just over a month.
