After the World Test Championship Final in London, Team India’s star batter Shubman Gill went to Parc des Princes, the home stadium of Paris Saint-Germain (PSG). The Indian players are on a break because their next game won’t be until the following month.
Gill decided to fly to Paris to visit the Parc des Princes, home of his favorite team. The Ligue 1 powerhouse also gave Shubman a PSG jersey of number 7. “Namaste dosto, here’s India’s favorite cricketer and PSG fan @ShubmanGill at Parc des Princes,” PSG on Twitter.

Shubman is taking advantage of his holiday in the French city after playing cricket nonstop for several months in a variety of formats. Gill just attended the FA Cup final at Wembley Stadium where Manchester City defeated their bitter rivals Manchester United 2-1. Along with Virat Kohli and his wife Anushka Sharma, the 23-year-old cricketer attends the football game.
The teenage batting sensation came up short against Australia in the decisive World Test Championship Final. The 23-year-old entered the WTC final after a strong performance in the IPL 2023. The Gujarat Titans hitter won the Orange Cap for this season after scoring 870 runs in 17 innings.
He could only manage to score 31 runs over the course of two innings in the WTC final against Australia, failing to replicate the same performance. India suffered back-to-back losses in the last two WTC Finals and lost the summit match by a score of 209 runs, prolonging their wait for the ICC trophy.
