Personal Life

Saurabh Tiwary was born on the 30th of December 1989 in Jamshedpur, Bihar. He has two sisters, called Nidhi and Kavita. His father’s name is Sunil Tiwary and his mother’s name is Kanalakta Tiwary.
Never actually being good in studies, Tiwary was always interested in being a cricketer. He got married to Nikita Tiwary in 2016.
Saurabh Tiwary and his wife had known each other since their childhood. They used to live in the same colony in Jamshedpur.
Early Career
Saurabh Tiwary played his first cricket match at the early age of 14. He represented his state Jharkhand in that match. Saurabh Tiwary managed to impress the selectors during his early matches.
He received a chance in the 2006-07 Ranji Trophy. He was also part of the U-19 series against South Africa and Bangladesh. Not only that, but he also scored two half-centuries in these series.
Owing to his consistent performances, Saurabh Tiwary was part of the 2008 U-19 World Cup team. He played a vital role in the middle order as India won the U-19 world cup under the leadership of Virat Kohli.

Saurabh Tiwary made his first-class debut against Jammu Kashmir on 1st December 2006. He played for Jharkhand in that match.
He has already made his List-A debut against Bengal on 13 February 2006. His debut in the shortest format of the game came on 3rd April 2007.
In the 2009-10 Ranji Trophy Season, he scored three centuries.
Then, in the 2015-16 season, he was among the top 15 highest run-getters. He scored a double century and five fifties that year.
Saurabh Tiwary IPL

Saurabh Tiwary was bought by the Mumbai Indians in the inaugural season of the IPL. By 2010, he was a regular player in the side.
Often referred to as the ‘left-handed Dhoni’, Saurabh had an amazing stint at the 2010 IPL.
He was only behind Sachin Tendulkar himself in scoring runs for his team.
In IPL 2010, he scored 419 runs and won the Under-23 player of the tournament. He hit 18 sixes and was in the top five highest sixes list.
The next season, he was bought by the Royal Challengers Bangalore. However, since 2011 he has not had a good season in the league.
In 2014, he was bought by Delhi Daredevils for 70 lakhs. But, due to a shoulder injury, he was replaced by Imran Tahir.
He was then shifted over to Rising Pune Super Giants, one of the teams replacing Rajasthan Royals and Chennai Super Kings. He had a better season in 2016.
In 2016, He scored half-centuries. In 2017, Tiwary was back in the Mumbai Indians squad. He was bought for a price of 30 lakhs by the franchise.
Since then, He has been regularly bought by the franchise. However, his performance for the team has been inconsistent.
In 2017, he scored fifty against Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR). In 2021, he scored another fifty against Chennai Super Kings.
The latter innings came in a losing cause, as Mumbai Indians lost to Chennai Super Kings.
International Career
Saurabh Tiwary has played 3 international ODI matches until now. He made his debut in 2010 against Australia. The Match was held in Visakhapatnam.
He had also been selected for the 2010 Asia Cup. But did not get to play for the team.
