After a disappointing sixth-place finish in the previous season at the Premier Badminton League (PBL), North Eastern Warriors have put up a competitive squad this season. With star badminton player Saina Nehwal’s presence and with a good balance in both the singles and doubles categories, North Eastern Warriors will look forward to putting a tough challenge for the PBL 4 crown this year.

The Hyderabadi shuttler is the poster girl of the Indian badminton. She is the first Indian shuttler to win an Olympic medal, and her feats prove as to how well she has served the country in the badminton sport. In the first three editions of PBL Saina played for Awadhe Warriors, but was not able to add the trophy to her cabinet. With a new season, a new opportunity is there for her and she is ready to put her all efforts to get her hands on the precious crown. Saina will once again look to lead by example and lead the team to the maiden title.
The youngster Rituparna is a valuable addition to the side and will look to get some tips and tricks from veteran Saina Nehwal. She is dynamic and energetic and she has a deceptive stroke play. She has earlier played for the Awadhe Warriors and Bengaluru Blasters. She will be looking to make a great impact.
Kim Ha Na (Mix doubles)
Kim won her first title in India in India Open series in 2012, and she will be upbeat to play for the North Eastern Warriors in PBL 4. The 2014 Asian Games silver medal winner will be interested to prove her capabilities when she takes the court this season.
Yoo Yeon Seong (Men’s Doubles)
The South Korean is a former World No. 2 and he was an integral cog of the crown-winning Hyderabad Hunters squad previous season. His signing has made the doubles lineup strong and he will also take the onus on his shoulder to take them all the way to the final.
Liao Min Chun ( Mixed Doubles)
The 2014 Asian Games bronze winner has a huge experience with him, which also gives the North Eastern Warriors an edge in the doubles department. The Taiwanese who is doubles experienced the player will look forward to making his PBL debut with a bang.
Kukkapalli Maneesha (Mix Doubles)
Maneesha has previously played in the PBL for the Awadhe Warriors and the Delhi Acers. Having played with the likes of Satwiksairaj, Kidambi Nandagopal, Manu Attri, she will be high on confidence and will look to have another great outing this season.
Siril Verma (Mens Singles)
Former Junior World No. 1 Siril has shown a lot of promising performances over the last few years and has come up the ranks smoothly. The youngster now has a chance to play against the best players in the world and he will be super eager to showcase his credentials in the tournament.
Dhruv Kapila (Men’s Doubles)
Kapila began the year by winning the Kharkiv International which was held in Ukraine. The young Indian shuttler who will be making his PBL debut this season will look to make a strong impact this season.
