The 25-year-old Californian golfer played an impressive round, carding a four-under-par 68 with seven birdies to finish at 21 under, securing a comfortable victory. In the presence of a supportive crowd of close family and friends in the galleries, Theegala’s journey to the title was effectively solidified on the 14th hole when he sank a remarkable 20-foot birdie putt, extending his lead to five shots.

Despite a brief surge from South Korea’s Kim Seong-hyeon, who made consecutive birdies on the 15th and 16th holes in the group ahead, narrowing Theegala’s lead to three shots, the determined leader maintained his position and emerged victorious.

He maintained his composure and confidently sank the birdie putt, extending his lead to four shots with only two holes left to play.

A steady par on the par-three 17th ensured Theegala maintained a four-shot advantage as he approached the par-five 18th hole. Although Kim managed to secure another birdie on the final hole, reducing the lead to three strokes.
