
<p>The <a href="https://www.kreedon.com/mca-approves-stand-named-after-rohit-sharma-at-wankhede-stadium">Mumbai Cricket Association</a> (MCA) moved the Indian ODI skipper by unveiling a stand at the Wankhede Stadium in Rohit Sharma&#8217;s honour. The ceremony took place in the evening, with Devendra Fadnavis, the Chief Minister of Maharashtra, and Sharad Pawar, ex-chief of MCA, BCCI, and ICC, among others, gracing the occasion. The stand at Divecha Pavilion Level 3 is a tribute to the cricketing exploits of Rohit Sharma.</p>



<p>During the occasion, Sharma brought his father, Gurunath, his mother, Purnima, and wife, <a href="https://www.kreedon.com/rohit-sharma-and-ritika-sajdeh-expecting-their-second-baby-cricketer-to-skip-australia-test">Ritika</a>, to the stage for the inauguration. This was a very emotional moment portraying Sharma&#8217;s humility and gratitude. Sharma, scoring 11,168 runs in 273 ODIs with 32 centuries, will soon be representing India in 50-over cricket at the Wankhede Stadium.</p>



<p>The MCA had also named stands after Sharad Pawar and Ajit Wadekar, and a lounge in memory of the late president, Amol Kale. This achievement of Sharma is a testimony to the hard work and love he has for the game and will surely be an inspiration to several budding cricketers.</p>

<p>Indian cricket captain Rohit Sharma had a relatable moment when he discovered a scratch on his car. Rohit noticed the scratch as he left the stadium and asked his brother Vishal, &#8220;What is this?&#8221; Vishal said, &#8220;Someone bumped into the car while reversing.&#8221; When Rohit asked who was responsible, Vishal admitted, &#8220;I did.&#8221; Rohit gave him a stern look, but the brothers quickly laughed it off, showing their strong bond.</p>



<p>Interestingly enough, the video, besides capturing this funny incident, also shows Rohit assisting his father in the car. A side of Rohit exemplifying humility and family values seldom shown to fans. The stand-naming ceremony was a big moment for Rohit, and it is heartwarming to see him treasure time with his family amidst his hectic schedule.</p>
