The eagerly awaited moment may arrive sooner than expected, as Rishabh Pant has returned to the practice nets. Although he is not yet ready for competitive matches, Pant has initiated his batting drills. Presently stationed at the National Cricket Academy (NCA) in Bengaluru, he faced throwdowns from the support staff before joining Rohit Sharma & Co, who are in preparation for the IND vs AFG 3rd T20. Pant spent approximately 20 minutes at the nets, displaying no signs of discomfort. The young wicketkeeper-batsman is still on the path to recovery after a harrowing car crash in December 2022, during which he underwent reconstruction of three ligaments.

Returning to the practice session, Pant did not engage with any bowlers. Instead, the session primarily involved throwdowns, during which he executed his signature drives on the offside and took shots on the onside.
After the session, he encountered Raghu, the throwdown specialist for the India Cricket Team, before joining his Indian teammates such as Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli, and Rinku Singh. Following the meeting with Pant, the Team India initiated their practice session.
