Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB), led by Virat Kohli for the clash against Rajasthan Royals, were fined for keeping a slow over-rate during their match against the Rajasthan Royals in IPL 2023 at the Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru on Sunday.
This one being RCB’s second offense of the 2023 IPL season under the IPL’s Code of Conduct, relating to minimum over-rate offenses, resulted in Kohli getting fined Rs 24 lakh.
Meanwhile, each member of the Playing XI, including the impact replacement Harshal Patel, was also fined Rs 6 lakh or 25 percent of the match fee, whichever was lower.
Earlier this season, Virat Kohli was fined 10 percent of his match fees as he ‘admitted to the Level 1 offense under Article 2.2 of the IPL Code of Conduct’, after RCB’s clash against Chennai Super Kings (CSK) at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium.
