On Monday, Dhananjay Singh, the co-province secretary of Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), and Karmaveer Singh, a BJP leader, extended an invitation to MS Dhoni, the ex-captain of the Indian cricket team, to attend the ‘Pran Pratishtha’ ceremony of Ram Mandir in Ayodhya on January 22. They presented the invitation to him at the Jharkhand State Cricket Association (JSCA) stadium in Ranchi. Dhoni is now the third cricketer to receive such an invitation for the event.

MS Dhoni is one of the 16 notable personalities from Jharkhand who have received invitations to attend the consecration ceremony. Other distinguished invitees comprise senior BJP leader Karia Munda, honored with Padma Bhushan, as well as Padma Shri recipients Mukund Nayak and archer Deepika Kumari. Additionally, AJSU party chief Sudesh Mahto is among the esteemed guests.
The consecration ceremony for the Ram Mandir is scheduled for January 22. Vedic rituals adhering to Hindu traditions to be conducted over seven days starting from Tuesday, January 16. Champat Rai, the general secretary of Shri Ram Janmbhoomi Teertha Kshetra, has disclosed that the installation of the Lord Ram idol in the ‘Garbh Griha‘ is planned for January 18. The ‘Pran Pratishtha’ ceremony is set to occur at 12:20 pm on January 22. The auspicious timing was determined by Ganeshwar Shastri Dravid from Varanasi.
