Ravisrinivasan Sai Kishore (R Sai Kishore) is an Indian cricketer who plays for Tamil Nadu in domestic cricket. He is a left-arm orthodox spinner who became quite popular after the initial two seasons of the TNPL.
In the Indian Premier League (IPL), he was bought by the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) franchise. However, he has hardly received an opportunity to showcase his talent in the IPL. This year (2022) he will play for Gujarat Titans. He was purchased by the new franchise at a whooping price of 3 crores.

Early Life

R Sai Kishore was born on 6th November in the year 1996. He was born in the city of Adambakkam in Chennai, India. He has a twin brother, and also an elder sister as siblings.
His brother is called Sai Prasad and his sister’s name is Lakshikha Shree. His mother’s name is Rajalakshmi and his father is called Ravisrinivasan.
Sai was a school topper and did quite well in college too. He completed his education at Vyasa Vidyalaya Matriculation higher secondary school in Chennai.
He dropped out of engineering college. Then, he went on to complete BCA from Vivekananda.
After completing his graduation, Sai decided to focus more on cricket. He got more interested in cricket after and made his dream to be a cricketer.
Sai is also pursuing MBA in analytics along with cricket. According to Sai, knowledge of analytics and statistics helped him a lot in improving his overall cricket skills as well.
Domestic Career

During his engineering years, he realized that he could not connect with his career goals, and decided to drop out. He was playing for the Under-19 Tamil Nadu side during that time.
While he started as a medium-pacer, Sai soon changed his bowling style. At the district level, he changed to slow orthodox.
Sai made his List A cricket and domestic debut on 12 March 2017 for Tamil Nadu. That match was part of the 2016-17 Vijay Hazare Trophy.
In first-class cricket, Sai made his debut in the 2017-18 Ranji Trophy. He played his first-class match on 14 October 2017 for Tamil Nadu.
Sai made his Twenty20 debut on 8 January 2018 for Tamil Nadu. He played this match in the 2017-18 Zonal T20 League. R Sai Kishore had a great 2018-19 Ranji Trophy as he took 22 wickets in 6 matches.
Sai became particularly famous after the Tamil Nadu Premier League (TNPL). He had a minor fight with Jagdeesan in the inaugural season.
Playing for Chepauk Super Gillies, R Sai Kishore became particularly famous for the altercation. He took 12 wickets in the season, emerging as the 4th highest wicket-taker.
The next season itself he was the leading wicket-taker in the tournament. He had seven wickets to his name that season.

Despite not much interest in the youngster’s talent, Chennai Super Kings (CSK) bought him in 2020. They bought him in the auction for a base price of 20 lakhs.
During the CSK training camp, he was trained and mentioned by former Indian Captain MS Dhoni. However, he didn’t get any chance to play for the team.
Sai is yet to make his IPL debut.
International Cricket
Due to COVID-19 conditions, Sai had been selected as a replacement in the Indian Team. He was selected for India’s tour of Sri Lanka during that time.
He was part of the squad for the final two T20i’s of the tour. But, He didn’t play any matches during that tour.
