The second season of the Pro Volleyball League or PVL season 2 is going to be held in October-November this year as was announced by the organisers on Wednesday.
The season 1 of Pro Volleyball League that happened in February this year was a massive success, prompting the organisers to conduct the second season on a bigger plate in the same year.

The last season saw a total of six franchises competing. Also, the season was won by Chennai Spartans.
Pro Volleyball League is India’s professional men’s indoor volleyball league. It is also known as RuPay Pro Volleyball League. The inaugural season will took place in February 2019. It is an initiative between the Volleyball Federation of India and Baseline Ventures. The CEO of this League is Joy Bhattacharya.
Tuhin Mishra, MD and Co-Founder of Baseline Ventures was excited to share his experience of the first season. He said “The response to the first season was phenomenal and was a testimony to the quality of the product we had put together.”
He further said that the positive feedback they received for the first season was overwhelming and they are planning to give the best experience in the upcoming season too. They are organising it to a greater level that will give the audience and players a memorable experience.
About the dates, he said that they will start the second season in October and also that the number of teams participating in this season will be more.
He also revealed that they are looking into the requests from people around the world to own a team in the league .
PVL Season 1 was broadcast across 33 countries. In India, the rights were with Sony Pictures Networks (SPN), while Dubai Sports aired the matches in Thailand and the Middle East and North Africa region and Singtel in Singapore.
