Jaipur Pink Panthers registered an impressive victory as they defeated Puneri Paltan 36-23 in the Pro Kabaddi League on Friday at Tau Devi Lal Sports Complex, Panchkula. Deepak Hooda, with 8 raid points and Sunil Siddhgavale, with 8 tackle points, were the heroes of the game for Jaipur Pink Panthers.
Puneri Paltan lost their way after the initial 10 minutes of the match. GB More top-scored for Puneri Paltan with 5 raid points. Jaipur still has an outside chance of making it to the playoffs while Puneri Paltan is now not in contention to the playoffs.
In the first 5 minutes of the game, both teams were evenly poised and were trading raid and tackle points. Ajinkya Pawar made a successful raid in the 6th minute to give Jaipur Pink Panthers a 5-4 lead. Deepak Hooda made a couple of raid pints in the 10th minute as Jaipur was leading 9-7.
In next few minutes, an all-out was inflicted by Jaipur Pink Panthers as they were leading 12-7 and looked in aggressive form. They allowed Puneri Paltan to score only 2 points as Deepak Hooda led the raid department and Sunil Sidhgavali marshalled the defence.

At the end of the first half, Jaipur Pink Panthers held a healthy lead of 12 points over Puneri Paltan with the score reflecting 21-9.
Sandeep Narwal began the second half on a brighter note for Puneri Paltan with a couple of points in the 22nd minute of the match. Jaipur Pink Panthers looked in full control in the second half and didn’t take any unnecessary risks.
With just five minutes to go in the game, Jaipur Pink Panthers were leading 30-20 and looked on course for a comfortable win. They won the match by 13 points as the final score reflected 36-23.
Jaipur Pink Panthers, who are placed at the bottom of the Zone A table, need to win all of their remaining matches in order to qualify for the Playoffs.
Match 2: Bengal Warriors vs Tamil Thalaivas
In the second match of the day, Bengal Warriors secured a 28-21 victory over Tamil Thalaivas. A late all-out by Bengal Warriors helped them win a close contest in the final minutes at the Tau Devi Lal Sports Complex in Panchkula on Friday.
Amit Hooda starred for Tamil Thalaivas with 7 crucial tackle points in an impressive display. But Bengal Warriors’ Surjeet Singh also managed a High 5 and was nicely supported by substitute Bhupender Singh’s excellent Super Raid in the second half, which helped Bengal team surge ahead.
With this defeat, Tamil Thalaivas are knocked out from the playoff competition.
