Prime Volleyball league 2021: Know How PVL will change the face of Indian Volleyball

A six-team franchise-based championship with the goal of promoting volleyball in India. The Prime Volleyball League (PVL), which features six teams and is sponsored by fantasy game leader A23. It is commercialized by Baseline Ventures and was officially unveiled here on Wednesday with the involvement of various franchisee owners. Joy Bhattacharya, CEO of PVL, stated that the upcoming auction, which will take place in December. It will be completely different and innovative due to the fact that the owners will be the stockholders. The championship will follow the model of major global leagues such as the NBA, in which franchise owners are also shareholders in the league’s organization. It consists of 24 matches, with the player auction beginning from 14 December in Kochi.

The debut season of PVL will consist of the following teams. These teams will play in a round-robin tournament:

  • Calicut Heroes
  • Kochi Blue Spikers
  • Ahmedabad Defenders
  • Hyderabad Black Hawks
  • Chennai Blitz
  • Bengaluru Torpedoes

The league will help grow volleyball in India and will create a focal image worldwide. More information on the schedule and prize money will be provided later. Overseas players are already showcasing a huge interest in the bids. PVL will purely adhere to the rules at all times, with no room for deviation.
