The Premier League is one of the top football leagues in the world, and it has seen some of the greatest scorers throughout the years. It is also one of the most watched athletic events in the world because of its exhilarating character and nonstop action. The presence of famous players and the tournament’s intensity make it tough for a kid to get into the first squad and make an impact. Many starlets, however, have been successful in doing so and have gone on to score in the Premier League. Unsurprisingly, they are among the youngest Premier League goal-scorers in history.

James Vaughan’s record as the Premier League’s youngest goalscorer has remained since 2005, and it will be difficult to break. With nine goals at the end of his Toffees tenure, the former Everton forward scored his first goal in his league debut. Everton scored four unanswered goals against Vaughan’s future club, Crystal Palace, with the 16-year-old striker scoring the game’s fourth goal three minutes before time expired.

In just his sixth Premier League game, Milner scored his first of many goals in a 2-1 comeback triumph over Sunderland.  He remains Leeds youngest-ever competitive goalscorer.

Wayne Rooney’s first Premier League goal, another guy who burst into the scene, was a corker. After getting into the first squad at Everton, the youthful attacker made his mark on the globe by bringing defending champions Arsenal to their knees at Goodison Park. Taking the ball out of the air, the future Manchester United star turned quickly and unleashed a stunning strike from 25 yards out, beating David Seaman at his near post. Only three 16-year-olds have scored in the Premier League, including him.

Cesc Fabregas’ first goal for Arsenal in the Premier League was unworthy of a player of his caliber. Although Spaniard had already scored for Arsenal in the League Cup, it wasn’t until 2004 against Blackburn Rovers that he scored his first league goal. Gilberto Silva’s header ricocheted off the midfielder’s knee two yards from the goal line, but it wasn’t the finest shot of his storied career. In any case, he is the fourth-youngest scorer in the competition’s history.

Michael Owen

Michael Owen is still the youngest Premier League hat-trick scorer and the only youngster to score four goals in one game, so it’s hardly surprising he’s still in the top five of the competition’s youngest scorers. At the age of 17, Owen made his Liverpool debut and scored his first league goal in a 2-1 loss to Wimbledon. 158 goals were scored by the 2001 Ballon d’Or winner at Anfield in his first season as a regular starter.

Turner went on to play 21 times for the club until injuries forced him to complete his career in the non-league. He moved into coaching in the latter parts of his career, most notably with Welsh Premier Division club Cefn Druids. He took over as temporary manager of the first team for a short time before leaving when the club was relegated at the end of the 2021/22 season.

Federico Macheda only had four Premier League goals during his time at Manchester United, but his first goal against Aston Villa was crucial. With the game poised at 2-2 at Old Trafford and the championship race hanging in the balance, the young Italian sprang up in stoppage time with a superb turn and finished from the edge of the box to win it for the Red Devils and reclaim first place in the standings. Macheda then scored the game-winning goal against Sunderland the following week as United went on to win the league, his efforts being key to their success.

Lewis Miley Lewis Miley, who scored his first professional goal in the Magpies’ 3-0 Premier League victory over Fulham, has been one of Newcastle United’s feel-good stories this season. Eddie Howe’s side had an easier day at the office thanks to Raul Jimenez’s early red card, but Miley’s controlled finish just before the hour mark was the highlight of the afternoon. Miley became the seventh-youngest Premier League scorer in history, slotting past Bernd Leno with a calm head.

The forward only had his second appearance in the competition, but he still beat the Toffees at Goodison Park with a tap-in in May 2021.

Raheem Sterling

Back in his Liverpool days, Raheem Sterling’s first Premier League goal proved to be a match-winner, with the teenager striking the back of the net just 58 days before his 18th birthday. Sterling scored an incredible low drive beyond Alex McCarthy in a 1-0 win against Reading at Anfield during the 2012/13 season, latching on to Luis Suarez’s flick in behind the Royals’ defenders.
