The first season of the Premier Badminton League (earlier called Indian Badminton League) began in 2013, followed by the second and third editions in 2016 and 2017.
The 4th season of PBL is all set to begin from 22nd December 2018 and the awaited battle is hopeful to be strolled with more energy and passion. There would be a total of nine teams competing against each other with the introduction of Pune 7 Aces, a newly auctioned franchisee owned by Tapasee Pannu.

Premier Badminton League (PBL) Season 4: Telecast and Live Streaming
Star Sports Network has acquired the broadcasting rights for the Premier Badminton League (PBL) 2018-19 season. The live streaming of the franchise-based badminton league will be available on Star Sports OTT platforms, Hot star, Jio TV and Airtel TV.
How many franchises are taking part in the event?
The entire event will last upto 23 days with a total of 9 franchises taking part in the event. The members of the team were auctioned intricately and keeping in mind the balance of skills, experience and competitiveness.
The participating teams are: Delhi Dashers, Mumbai Rockets, Hyderabad Hunters, Chennai Smashes, Ahmedabad Smash Masters, Awadhe Warriors, Bengaluru Raptors, North Eastern Warriors and Pune 7 Aces.
