This comes after the snooker champion made into semifinals in the first leg, last month in Doha.
Winning both his league matches, the nineteen-time World Champion Pankaj Advani advances into the knock-out stage of the second leg of the Asian Snooker Tour, held in Jinan, China on Monday.

Pankaj Advani overcame Chinese snooker Pang Junxu in his first match by 4-2. Later, the Indian champion outclassed Qatar’s Ahmed Saif by 4-0. Despite the opening break, the Qatari was not able to put up a decisive lead against Advani. He neatly put away a few colours to bring down the first frame to the deciding black ball. With a few errors by the Qatar snooker player, Advani took the lead by 1-0 and gained the momentum, thereon.

Though there was a tough fight in the fourth frame of the game, Pankaj who was already leading by 38-1, again took 2 points to win the frame. With this, he confirmed his made it to the last-16 stage, which is to begin from Tuesday.
On a parallel side, other Indian players had quite a mixed day at the Asian Snooker Tour. Snookers Manan Chandra and Varun Madan lost their first matches, respectively. Also, Kamal Chawla, another snooker player, won his game by a close 4-3 streak. The final tie game today will be decisive for the players.
10-red snooker, a different sort of format, forms the base in the 3-leg continental tour. The final round of the tour is slated for India, but the details for the same are yet to be confirmed.
