The famous Indo-Pak rivalry is four days away but the shots have already started firing from both the ends! To take the matter to the next level, the epic ICC World Cup game between India and Pakistan will be played on 16th June, which coincidentally happens to be Father’s Day.

It all started when a prominent Indian media house, Star Sports, mocked Pakistan for losing all their encounters in a World Cup against India. It also highlighted India as the Pakistan’s father. The 41 second video went viral within a few hours on social media handles. Many deemed it as a worthy successor to the “Mauka Mauka” video that also went viral in the 2015 ICC World Cup.

However, in a stunning reply to the video, Pakistan media has released it’s side of promotional clip which involves a dig at India’s brave Wing-Commander Abhinandan Varthaman. Here is the complete video:

Here, the man can be seen mimicking Varthaman. His reply, “I am not supposed to tell you that sir” is clearly a parody of the bold reply given by the Indian commander when he was held captive in Pak. The advertisement has surely struck sensitive string with many Indian hearts.

Here is the original clip of Abhinandan Varthaman:

Abhinandan Varthaman is a wing-commander with the Indian Air Force. He was held captive by Pakistan for over 60 hours in the aftermath of the Balakot Air Strike. He was then released by the Pakistan Government in what was a “peace gesture”, as quoted by the country’s Prime Minister Imran Khan.

Here is the Star Sport’s Video on the Indo-Pak match:

The stage is all set for a classic India-Pakistan rivalry match to unravel on 16th June 2019 with at Old Trafford, Manchester playing the host.

But sometimes, the off-field rivalry can also be interesting to watch. Here are some of the best Indo-Pak media videos from earlier ICC Events:
