Mission Olympic Cell (MOC) has given its approval to Golden Boy Neeraj Chopra‘s proposal to train in Kuortane, Finland. The 24-year-old javelin thrower is set to participate in several World Athletics Gold Level tournaments in June and has expressed his desire to train at the Kuortane Olympic Training Centre during that period.

Neeraj Chopra has already confirmed his participation in the Fanny Blankers-Koen Games in Hengelo, the Netherlands on June 4, and the Paavo Nurmi Games in Turku, Finland on June 13. He achieved a second-place finish at the Turku event last year and kicked off his season with a first-place finish at the Doha Diamond League.

This training plan in Finland follows a similar approach that Neeraj Chopra adopted in 2022. In addition, MOC has also approved paddler Payas Jain’s proposal for an advanced training camp in Taiwan.

Furthermore, the MOC has also approved the Indian paddlers Manika Batra and Sathiyan Gnanasekaran to be accompanied by their personal coaches, Aman Balgu and Raman Subramanian, respectively, for multiple events.

Additionally, rower Salman Khan from Haryana’s Mewat region has been inducted into the Target Olympic Podium Scheme’s (TOPS) Development group, following his gold medal win at the Gujarat National Games last year.
