Giving out another bold example of their undoubted dominance in the competition, Mumbai Indians trounced Chennai Super Kings by 6 wickets to make it to the finals of the Indian Premier League. This was Mumbai’s third victory over Chennai this season, and second at the Chepauk stadium. Moreover, it will be the fifth time that the MI is making it to the Finals. They have won the title all the three prior occasions.
Although MS Dhoni won the toss, it was Rohit Sharma who screened the conditions precisely. He rightfully played three specialist spinners – Rahul Chahar, Jayant Jadhav, and Krunal Pandya – who all kept CSK batsmen at bay. The trio accounted all the four wickets scalped with Chahar being the pick of the lot with figures of 2/14. The hosts suffered a middle-order breakdown yet again with Shane Watson, Suresh Raina, and Faf du Plessis all returning home cheaply. Although MS Dhoni (37*) and Ambati Rayudu (42*) held their nerves with sensible knocks, CSK could only manage 131/4.
Except for the early hiccups in the form of Rohit Sharma and Quinton de Kock’s dismissals, Mumbai Indians cruised in their chase, with Suryakumar Yadav being in the pilot’s seat. The 28-year-old’s game-defining partnership of 80 runs with Ishan Kishan was enough to take MI past the finish line.
As Mumbai Indians put one hand on the trophy, here is how the fans reacted to their team’s epic win on Twitter:

So, you say Csk lost the match even after winning the toss and defending on this slow and turning Chepauk pitch with 3 frontline spinners!? Wouldn’t it be deemed as bad captaincy by some cricket pundits out there!? ???♂️?? #MIvCSK#IPL #IPL2019

Its difficult to even imagine that @ChennaiIPL have come this far with none of their batsmen in form and without a proper fast bowler.
Its been all Ms Dhoni?.
Yet MSD's post match conference makes u feel like, Life's all so simple.
