They have included players who had fantasized about scoring against a certain side and smashed a few centuries against an IPL team.

KL Rahul has contributed significantly to the lucrative T20 tournament. He has been a part of the premier tournament since 2013 and has established himself as a run-banker with the bat. The 30-year-old has played 116 games and scored 4151 runs with a strike rate of 134.55. In his IPL career, Rahul has scored four centuries, three of which have come against the Mumbai Indians. The first occurred in 2019 when he played for Kings XI Punjab (now the Punjab Kings).

The daring stroke-maker clobbered 100 runs off 64 balls in the season’s 24th match, including six fours and six maximums. Then, in the 2022 season of the T20 spectacular, while representing the Lucknow Super Giants, Rahul brought his A-game to the five-time IPL winners, smashing a century on both occasions. He scored 103 runs off 60 deliveries in the first match against MI and 103 runs off 62 balls in the second match against Rohit Sharma and company.

Virat Kohli

India has produced several match-winners, but there have only been a few players of Virat Kohli’s caliber. With his magnificent stroke play, the 34-year-old has destroyed batters and established his dominance on the cricket pitch. He has scored the most runs in the IPL, amassing an absurd total of 6903 runs in 230 games at a strike rate of 129.61. Kohli excelled in the ninth iteration of the lucrative T20 event, scoring 973 runs in 16 matches with a strike rate of 152.03, including four hundred.

During the season, the Indian batter had a particular fondness for the Gujarat Lions and scored two tons against them. Kohli scored 100 runs off 63 balls in the first IPL 2016 match between Royal Challengers Bangalore and Gujarat. His courageous attempt, however, was in vain, as Suresh Raina and company won the game by six wickets. The batting master then piled up 109 runs off 55 balls in the second encounter against Gujarat, which proved to be a match-winning one as RCB beat GL by 144 runs.

Chris Gayle has been a towering figure on the T20 circuit. He has amused himself by destroying bowling attacks and has made the shortest format his beloved hunting field. With a strike rate of 144.75 in 463 T20 games, Chris Gayle has amassed 14,562 runs. Gayle has also cemented his dominance in the Indian Premier League, scoring 4965 runs in 142 games with a strike rate of 148.96.

Furthermore, the renowned cricketer has scored six centuries in his remarkable IPL career, which is the most by a hitter in the flagship competition. Two of his tonnes have come against Kings XI Punjab (now Punjab Kings). In the 47th game of the 2011 IPL, Gayle scored his first century against Punjab, smashing the opposition with 107 runs off 49 deliveries. Then, in the 40th IPL 2015 encounter, he went on a six-hitting display and struck his second century against the Punjab team. The Southpaw scored 117 runs on 57 balls, including 12 home runs.

David Warner

Every time he entered the cricket field, David Warner was one of those players who turned heads. The Southpaw has tortured bowlers with his daring stroke play and piled up runs for joy, whether in the international arena or the wealthy league. With 169 IPL appearances, Warner has scored 6187 runs at a strike rate of 139.47, including four centuries.

The Australian cricketer has also scored two tons against the Kolkata Knight Riders and has liked playing them. In the 26th game of the IPL 2010, when the Delhi Daredevils (Delhi Capitals) played KKR, Warner scored 107 runs off 69 deliveries to reach his first IPL century.  Then, in the 37th match of 2017, when Sunrisers Hyderabad faced Kolkata, Warner, who was SRH’s skipper at the time, put on a show with the bat, scoring 126 runs off 59 balls.
