MCI vs WAT EPL Dream11 Prediction 2019 | Watford vs Manchester City
Watford face a Herculean task when they travel to the Etihad Stadium to take on Premier League champions Manchester City this week. Sitting at the bottom of the table, Watford faces relegation, and their hopes to stay in contention look bleak. However, as is the case with this beautiful game, nothing is off the table.
Manchester City come into this *game following a shock defeat to newly-promoted Norwich City last week. The 3-2 scoreline sent shockwaves across the world and proved that anything is possible in football. But that means City will be hungrier than ever, and with the gap between them and title rivals Liverpool widening to five points last week, Pep Guardiola’s men will look to make up for it in goal difference.
Watford, meanwhile, mounted a superb two-goal comeback against Arsenal to salvage a draw last week. It was a great display of what the side can do when motivated. However, that doesn’t change the fact that they are huge underdogs firmly in the crosshairs of the Citizens. The last time these two sides met, City cruised to a 6-0 victory in the finals of the FA cup. Thus, Watford will almost certainly be the victims of a thrashing unless they can pull off a miracle.

Dream11 Team and Analysis | MCI vs WAT EPL Dream11 Prediction 2019
Goalkeeper – Ederson Moraes is really the only option here, being a superior shot-stopper than Ben Foster. He has a far better backline to assist him in keeping a clean sheet, and hence the Brazilian should be the only pick you should go for.
Defenders – The fact that Joao Cancelo still hasn’t started for Manchester City makes Kyle Walker a safe pick. The right-back may start in his preferred position, or maybe in a central role. We pair him with Watford duo Christian Kabasele and Kiko Femenia, the two best defenders from Watford’s backline.
Midfielders – Many singled out the benching of Kevin de Bruyne as one of the reasons for City’s defeat to Norwich, so expect the Belgian assist king to work his magic in the game and supply City’s attacking trident. Record signing Rodrigo Hernandez is another great option with being a threat anywhere on the pitch. With Fernandinho shifting behind, the CDM position seems to be his. From Watford, Roberto Pereyra makes the cut for his goalscoring exploits, while Tom Cleverley gets the nod for being perhaps Watford’s most important player, who brings in goals and dictates the game.
Forwards – It is no surprise that Manchester City players dominate this section. The Citizens’ attackers are feared all over Europe. Raheem Sterling and Sergio Aguero are no-brainers, and you can’t go wrong by captaining one and giving the vice-captaincy to the other. The third choice is a toss-up between Gerard Deulofeu and Gabriel Jesus, but we’d go with the latter for his form after injury, and also for his prolific record against Watford. With Guardiola stating that Jesus will play more often, the pick seems like a great one.
