MCFC vs KBFC Dream 11 Prediction 2019

The 5th match of the Indian Super League will feature Kerala Blasters FC who host Mumbai City FC at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in Kochi. Kerala has played one game in the season so far while this will be the first game for Mumbai. The last time the two sides met, Mumbai City demolished Kerala Blasters 6-1.

Kerala Blasters FC

Kerala faced-off against ATK on matchday 1 of the ISL. The Blasters had to come back by scoring 2 goals after conceding a goal in the 5th minute. Their new-signing and skipper Ogbeche justified his worth as he was instrumental in their comeback against ATK, scoring a penalty and a sensational 2nd goal to hand Kerala the win.

Kerala has a rather disappointing record of never registering a win in their 2nd game of the ISL. They have lost 3 and drew 2 games in the previous 5 seasons. The 2 draws came against Mumbai City. However, they will be looking to shrug off that record this season with the experience and talent at the Blaster’s disposal.

Mumbai City FC

Mumbai City will begin their ISL campaign hoping to secure a win. The Islanders also have a poor record in terms of registering a win in their opening game, having won only 1 game in the previous 5 seasons. They possess experienced players, Rowlin Borges and goalkeeper Amrinder Singh who are game-changers with their abilities. Of their 6-1 thumping of Kerala from last season, 4 goals in that game were scored by Modou Sougou whose services they have retained for this season as well.

A game that will test both the team’s poor record coming into the fixture, we can expect a high octane football game with some jaw-dropping moments and plenty of opportunities amid a vocal yellow sea of Blasters supporters.
