“If Amit Shah does not give us an assurance about the protection of the integrity of Manipur, we will return our awards given by the Indian government.”

The memorandum highlights eight crucial demands aimed at resolving the ongoing conflict in Manipur. These demands include the revocation of the Suspension of Operation (SoO) agreement with Kuki Militant groups, the restoration of peace and normalcy, the protection of Manipur’s unity and integrity, rejection of the demand to disintegrate Manipur, settlement opportunities for the Meeteis community in the hills of Manipur, deportation of immigrants without papers, and the urgent unblocking of National Highway-2, which has caused severe disruptions in the region.

The sportspersons of Manipur are urging the government to address these pressing issues and restore harmony to the state.
