LinkedIn & ESPN Join Forces to Engage Working Professionals

World’s largest professional network, LinkedIn has announced a new sports quiz in partnership with ESPN. The new LinkedIn ESPN Office Sports Quiz will help corporate employees take their love for sports to the next level.

Data collected by ESPN indicated that sports have been one of the most discussed topics in the corporate world. This quiz will serve as a platform for sports enthusiast from around the country to showcase their knowledge for sports.

Sports Quiz For Sports Enthusiasts:

LinkedIn ESPN Sorts Quiz will have two rounds, an online first round, and offline second round. The first round will be conducted on www.espn.in for three weeks. The offline round will consist of a semi-final and the final, to be played on 17th July in Mumbai and will be hosted by popular Sports anchor Gaurav Kapur, which will be shot in a studio. ESPN platforms, ESPN.in and ESPNcricinfo will stream the second round of the competition. The winning team will be rewarded with an all-expense paid trip to England where they will get to experience an EPL match live from the stadium.

“People often find inspiration for their personal and professional lives from the sports they follow. We are really excited to partner with ESPN for the Office Sports quiz, to see our members collaborate with each other, enjoy a common interest, and spur a sense of community at the workplace” said Srividya Gopani, Director – Brand and Consumer Marketing, APAC and China at LinkedIn.

“ESPN is continually engaging with sports fans through various interactive shows and engaging fun content to keep their passion for sports alive. We all have grown up participating in quiz competitions and sports quizzes, it is our attempt to bring back the same flavor and competitiveness for the present-day fans. By making it multi-sports including cricket, our attempt is to tap the ever-increasing multisport interest in India.” Said Akshaya Kolhe, Head of Sales, ESPN.

To participate in the competition, the team of two from the same organization need to register here. The team can register anytime in the next three weeks. But once they have registered, the team will have to play the first round within the same week.
