Khelo India Youth Games -2021 is a high-level competition & very prestigious for us. For the 1st time, we are getting an opportunity to host this tournament, which is a matter of great pride. The Haryana Government will ensure the best facilities for every athlete. The preparations have already been started for the smooth conduct of the games. We hope that the athletes of Haryana will get a new identity from these games and at the same time they will also get an opportunity to showcase their talent, said Chief Minister, Manohar Lal Khattar.
‘Khelo India Youth Games -2021′ which are scheduled from November 21 to November 30, 2021, in the Panchkula district of Haryana will now be concluded in just ten days. The information was given by Chief Minister Manohar Lal on Wednesday during a review meeting of Khelo India Youth Games -2021. Due to the impact of the Covid-19 situation in the country, new updates have been made.

“Yes, the compulsory quarantine is not acceptable to us, as it will create a long gap in training with just two months left for the Olympics. We have decided not to send our rowers to Portugal for training.
“It is unfortunate that the Portugal camp has to be canceled. Now, the rowers will have to train in the Army Rowing Node. We are hopeful for a good result.” -President of RFI (Rowing Federation of India), Rajlaxmi Singh Deo said.
Due to the 14-day mandatory quarantine period in the European country, the training program in Portugal for the Indian Rowing team has been canceled. The duo of Arvind Jat and Arvind Singh qualified for the Tokyo Olympics, 2021 during the Asia/Oceania Continental Qualifying Regatta.
Achinta Sheuli: The new sensation in Indian sports
Achinta Sheuli, an Indian weightlifter from W.B shattered 7 national records, including three senior marks, in the 73kg category at the Junior World Championship on Wednesday. He won a silver medal in the tournament.
The 19-year-old weightlifter lifted his personal best of 313kg — 141kg in snatch, followed by 172 kg in clean and jerk — at the gold level Olympics qualifying event. Sheuli created 4 junior national records & 3 seniors records. He improved his personal best in jerk, & snatch & clean by 2kg each. Earlier, he had lifted 309kg (139kg+170kg) at the Asian Championships last month. The young athlete has won a gold medal at the Commonwealth Championship too.
WTC final: How the conditions in the UK are favoring New Zealand
“It is going to be a good competition. There has been a lot of rain in England. I think, the current conditions of the U.K it is probably close to N.Z conditions,” Cummins said in a question-and-answer session with fans on Youtube.
“India & N.Z, both the teams have not played any Test matches since the last couple of months. So, it is a one-off. Anything can happen. I will sit on the fence,” said the 28-year-old who is quarantined after arriving from the Maldives.-- Advertisement --
