Day 5 of the thrilling Khelo India Youth Games 2021 is going on strong at Panchkula, Haryana. Maharashtra is leading the race again in the medal tally.

Sanyukta set the seal on 5 gold at KIYG 2021

Sixteen-year-old gymnast Sanyukta’s clean sweep helped Maharashtra sweep all the five gold medals in rhythmic gymnastics at the Khelo India Youth Games on Tuesday. Sanyukta dominantly clinched gold medals in all-around, hoop, ball, clubs, and ribbon rhythmic events and helped Maharashtra (24 gold, 22 silver, 17 bronze) sneak past the Haryana race for medal tally. Andaman and Nicobar’s Celestina Chelobroy bagged her third cycling gold on the second day of the event.

Power of Punjab

Punjabi weightlifter Dilbag Singh bags gold in the 96 kg men’s category while Punit Chandra Sahu won silver and the bronze medal went to Rahul from Haryana at SBI Khelo India 2021.

Triple jumper, Selva Kumar clinched gold

A future star in athletics, Selva Kumar from Tamil Nadu emerged victrious as he clinched gold in the Triple Jump final at the SBI Khelo India Youth Games 2021. Akhilesh from Karnataka stood in 2nd place.

Women’s weightlifting 76 Kg category

Jyoti Yadav from Haryana Bagged Gold in the Weightlifting Women’s 76 Kg category at SBI Khelo India Youth Games 2021. P Dhatri from Andhra Pradesh won silver and Pratiksha Kadu (Maharashtra) bagged bronze.

Wrestling Freestyle Women’s 53 Kg

Antim Panghal from Haryana won the finals of Wrestling Freestyle Women’s 53 Kg category. Haryana Vidhan Sabha speaker Shri Gian Chand Gupta felicitates the Winners at SBI Khelo India Youth games 2021.

Ms. Pragati Gaikwad unlocked her first medal (silver) for National Centres of Excellence (SAI NCOE ) Mumbai in the 57kgs category at the Khelo India Youth Games. Young men from Jharkhand beat poverty and successfully entered semifinals in hockey at Khelo India Youth games.
