Jayant Yadav is an Indian All-Rounder who bats right-handed and bowls right-arm off-break. He plays for Haryana at the domestic level. Jayant Yadav’s real mother, Lakshmi Yadav died in a plane crash accident. His stepmother Jyoti Yadav took care of him and helped him become a cricketer from thereon.
His uncle is Yogendra Yadav, a famous politician who also works as a psychologist, i.e, someone who studies politics and helps in political forecasting.

Domestic Career
Although he belonged to Delhi, Yadav made his debut for Haryana in Ranji Trophy at the early age of 21. He took six wickets in that match as Haryana destroyed Gujarat’s batting in that match. Slowly but surely, Yadav established himself as one of the best Domestic players in India.
Jayant Yadav has worked hard to improve his batting as well as bowling skills. He has proved himself again and again as one of India’s best spin bowling all-rounders.
Jayant turned his maiden Ranji hundred into a brilliant double hundred. He scored an amazing 211 runs that day against Karnataka. His fabulous innings include a mammoth record-breaking 392 run stand for the eighth wicket with leg-spin veteran Amit Mishra.
He didn’t disappoint the next season as well as he took 33 wickets in the 2014-15 Ranji Season. His 13 wickets in a single match against Saurashtra were very valuable to his team.
Due to consistent Domestic performances, Yadav could not be ignored for long. He was given a chance to play for India A against South Africa and Bangladesh.

International Career

He made his ODI international debut against New Zealand in 2016. He received his ODI cap from Virender Sehwag and also got his first wicket in that match itself.
In the same year, he made his test debut in a home series against England.
At the international level as well, Yadav has proved himself an important all-rounder. Jayant averaged around 73 after his first four test innings. He also has a hundred and a first. He made the second-best record partnership of 241 for the 8th wicket with India’s star batsman and captain, Virat Kohli. Yadav also became the first Indian batsman to score a century at number 9 as Kohli made his third double century.

Jayant Yadav was bought by Delhi Daredevils for Rs 10 lakhs in the 2014 IPL. He played for them until 2018. He made his debut for them against the Sunrisers Hyderabad as a rookie spinner.
Jayant’s IPL record has been of moderate success, not as shiny as his domestic first-class record. Despite that, on several occasions, he has contributed well to his team in the IPL matches he has played.
He was transferred to Mumbai Indians after the 2018 season of the Indian Premier League. He had not played a single match for Delhi Capitals in the 2018 edition of the IPL.
