The World Cup scare
Bumrah, who is India’s premier bowling threat for the World Cup, showed worrying signs after he jammed his shoulder and was lying in pain on the ground after trying to save a run against Delhi Capitals.
The last thing we want is Bumrah or any other key player picking up an injury ahead of the World Cup. #IPL

The Indian selectors and team management would have their fingers crossed on the fitness of Bumrah, their main strike bowler, with the World Cup just over two months away.
Earlier in the match, Bumrah bowled a yorker on the stumps to Pant, who punched it back towards him. Bumrah dives to his left to get the ball and as he gets up on both his hands, it looked like he jerked up his arm and immediately went to the ground wincing in pain.
Have been saying this for sometime: the core group of Indian pacers for the World Cup shouldn’t have been allowed to play IPL. Now Bumrah has an injury!

Mumbai captain Rohit Sharma, Pant and others were around him straightaway. Nitin Patel, the Mumbai physiotherapist, dashed into the middle to check on Bumrah. On his walk back to the dressing room, Bumrah did not move or raise his shoulder even once.
Last July, Bumrah had picked up a finger injury while unsuccessfully trying to take a return catch in the first match of the T20 series in Ireland.
