Pacer Jasprit Bumrah has been selected as India’s captain for the forthcoming T20I series against Ireland, set to commence on August 18. Jasprit Bumrah returns to international cricket after being out for over 11 months because of injury. He was just authorized to rejoin cricket and has since been practicing in Mumbai.
India will compete in three T20Is, with the series following India’s last leg of the West Indies trip and before the Asia Cup.
As previously reported a preparation camp for the Asia Cup is being prepared, with the full-strength squad expected to participate. It enables some new faces to make an impression while also putting Bumrah’s conditioning to the test on his recovery.
