Indian women’s 25m pistol team secured gold medal at the 2023 ISSF World Championships held in Baku, Azerbaijan, on Sunday. The Indian trio, consisting of Rhythm Sangwan, Esha Singh, and Manu Bhaker, achieved a total score of 1744, outshining the team from Chinese Taipei.
The silver medal was claimed by the Chinese Taipei contingent, composed of Tien Chia Chen, Tu Yi Tzu, and Wu Chia Ying, who achieved a score of 1743. Meanwhile, the bronze medal went to China.
This marks India’s third gold medal achievement at the World Championships. In a previous instance, Esha Singh and Shiva Narwal collaborated to secure the gold in the 10m air pistol mixed team event.
Simultaneously, the Indian trio consisting of Mehuli Ghosh, Tilottama Sen, and Ramita achieved a remarkable victory by claiming the top spot on the podium with a combined score of 1895.9 in the women’s 10m air rifle team category. In total, India has clinched a total of five medals in the shooting competition up to this point.

Mehuli Ghosh achieved an Olympic quota spot on Saturday by earning a bronze medal in the women’s 10m air rifle competition. Additionally, the men’s 10m Air Pistol team also clinched a bronze medal.
