Indian shooters Gautami Bhanot and Abhinav Shaw clinched the gold medal in the 10m air rifle mixed team event at the prestigious 2023 ISSF Junior World Cup (WC). The duo displayed remarkable precision, shooting a total of 17 in the intense gold medal contest.
Oceanne Muller and Romain Aufrere from France secured the silver medal with a commendable aggregate score of 7 in the final. Norway’s Pernille Nor-Woll and Jens Olsrud Oestli claimed the bronze medal after scoring 17 in the thrilling bronze medal match against Italians Anna Schiavon and Luca Sbarbati, who shot 13.

In the 10m air pistol mixed team competition, Sainyam, who recently won the individual air pistol gold, partnered with Abhinav Choudhary to secure the silver medal with a score of 12. The gold medallists were Juri Kim and Kanghyn Kim, who shot an impressive 16.
However, the Indian skeet shooters could not advance beyond the qualification rounds. Ritu Raj Bundela finished 19th, Abhay Singh Sekhon secured the 21st position, Munek Batulla ended at 26th, while Harmehar Lally trailed with a score of 111.
Raiza Dhilon stood out in the junior women’s skeet event, finishing in a decent 11th place with a score of 108. Muffaddal Deesawala secured 14th position, and Sanjana Sood finished 16th, both with scores of 106.
